After seeing the rather slow throttle on early jet engines, many engineers wished to improve upon it. Many engineers also wished to possibly drive propellers by attaching the crankshaft tto a jet engine, and using the pitch of the prop to control thrust. These developments merged in 1946 to crate a high speed fighter, with a responsive "throttle." The thrust of a jet engine combined with a high speed propeller and an aerodynamically efficient body resulted in cruising speeds up in the 500 mph regime. Armed with 4x 20mm auto cannons, nothing with escape from the Ca.400 unscathed. VTOL for flaps. Enjoy!
