This is a prototype for an aircraft, which uses custom props to achieve pitch/yaw via torque, and roll via collective.

it currently works, but is prone to suddenly exploding without warning, unfortunately, this means that I may not be able to continue this project if I cannot find a suitable fix which doesn't effect performance.

I have used damperMultiplier to reduce sudden disassembly chances, but it still occurs often in flight.

Also, I don't think that the rings around the props are the cause of the problems, because even without them the problem still occurs.

If you have any experience with custom props please let me know.
I would appreciate any help possible.
