[PLAAF]Chengdu J-20
is a stealth fifth generation air superiority fighter with high stealth, high situational awareness, and high maneuverability capabilities. It is the latest generation (fourth generation according to the old European and American standards, and fifth generation according to the new Russian standards) twin engine heavy stealth fighter developed by the People's Liberation Army. It is used as a future heavy fighter model to replace third-generation air superiority/multi-purpose fighters such as the J-10 and J-11. This aircraft will be responsible for the Chinese Air Force's future sovereignty maintenance tasks in the air and sea.
