The first supersonic jet fighter designed by Socrux, the S.Ca. 165 Super Sabiá shares little with its predecessor apart from its name. Despite being indeed based on the earlier S.Ca. 160 Sabiá, it underwent so much redesign it ended up becoming a completely different aircraft. Just like its older brother though, performance fell short of expectations, especially in the maneuverability department.

Nevertheless, it proved to be a flexible and capable platform despite its shortcomings, and enjoyed a much longer service life than the S.Ca. 160. Originally armed solely with four 20mm revolver cannons, over its lifetime it has seen several improvements which saw new capabilities being added to the aircraft's operational portfolio as it recieved air-to-air missiles and more hardpoints for all sorts of ordnance. Shown here is a typical late 50's configuration, armed with four short-range air-to-air missiles and two UB-21 rocket pods with 21 70mm rockets each.
