The HRDS blimp is Tethered Radar Blimp made with the intent for being stationed on ships or coastal area but could also be put facing land depending on terrain. It's radar can see up to 400km out and has a 90 degree view around it. a HRDS site will usually consist of 2 blimps, they are usually somewhere around 8,000ft above the site, but could be as high as 20,000ft. Their main intent is to detect incoming aircraft, missiles, munitions, ships, ect. Their tether can be extended, at a cost however.
