A - 400 - 262
A much deserved, top-to-bottom rebuild of my first proper airliner, the A-400. This model demonstrates realistic proportions and all the goodies too. The A-400-262 seats 528 passengers and up to 10 flight crew personnel. Let's get right into it:
AG 1 - Spool turbine fans (aesthetics only)
AG 2 - Initiate thrust (the actual jets)
AG 3 - Navigation lights
AG 4 - Anti-collision lights
AG 5 - Runway taxi lights
AG 6 - Landing lights
AG 7 - Reverse thrusters
For take-off, flaps (VTOL) to half down, appropriate light groups activated, spool up the fans and initiate thrust. Throttle to full and rotate at 190mph.
For landing, flaps to 3/4 (three quarters) down and throttle between 25% and 30% depending on fuel levels. Using standard pitch input to maintain descent and angle, and apply trim as needed. Deactivate engines and activate reverse thrusters for a quicker stop.
