the AC1 Behemoth was a prototype 'air cruiser' built in 1911 for trasporting passengers in relative luxury very quickly. however, only four were built before world war 1 and they were quickly turned into troop transports. of the three lost one was shot down over ypres, belgium in 1917 and two were destroyed by air raids. only one survives.
