@titanplanes101 Probably late to the party, but different aerofoil types generate different amounts of lift. The Semi-Symmetric generates more lift than the Symmetric and the Flat Bottomed generates more lift than the Semi-Symmetric.
It's useful if you've got a nose heavy aircraft, as semi-symmetric and flat bottomed aerofoils can counter this by placing them forward of the centre of mass.
I'm in, my Fountain is up as a successor.
@titanplanes101 k
@titanplanes101 okey
@salvador3031 never mind it will be uploaded tomorrow reached limit.
ok sorry i was wondering cause im building a new aircraft and i was going to put flat bottomed wings on the tail so i was just wondering. and im about to upload an aircraft, but not the one im working on. Hope you will enjoy it.@salvador3031
@titanplanes101 it changes the way air flows over it.
@salvador3031 thats what changing the airfoil does but what does flat bottomed do specifically?
@titanplanes101 it changes the way air react to the wings
but what does flat bottomed do?@salvador3031
@titanplanes101 don't do air fiols on wings it is best to not change properties.
@salvador3031 i mean why is it bad?
is what bad?@salvador3031
@titanplanes101 it is bad
does anyone know what it means when a wings airfoil is "Flat Bottomed"?
