GADS 1M 'AVENGER'
Background
The GADS 1M 'AVENGER' was developed in the early 70's, 20 years before the GAMDS. It was originally used for Surface to Air defense, however it began to be used for Surface to Surface defense, typically being fitted with Sonic Shocks for Anti-Ship missions. This was due to the GADS being able to be used remotely, allowing for safer Anti-Ship missions. Unfortunately however, it saw little action in the Surface to Surface field due to its impracticality and in 2013 the 1M version was officially retired.
Weapons
By default, the GADS is equipped with two AGM - 1 'Sonic Shock' Multirole missiles, five TFT/LRAAAM-15 'HAMMER' Air to Air missiles, and three countermeasure dispensers along with a single Electro-Magnetic Radar in the middle of the system. The GADS by default leads its targets when aiming, to give the missile a better chance of hitting its target.
For anyone wondering, these are part of a story-ish I have, it is important to note that I also posted links to youtube videos on my profile so if you're really interested you can check that out as well.
