The ESR maintains these Reserve units and a few front line units . . . although 10,000 are also available for export.

A modernized MBT-5C . . . upgraded to this extent is just 19,000-39,000 euros. A new build of this tank is just under 200k euros.
No very expensive when you GDP, excluding Japan and Cuba is 900+ trillion euros. @MadBomber
@PINK yep. thats alot of tank hulls to have just collecting dust.
The NFK, my now defunct old nation that was around before the ESR produced more than 100k MBT-5Cs, may as well modernize them.
We are about to modernize and attempt to export another 20-30k. About 1/3 will become APCs. @MadBomber
I like it. Definately got an eastern block flavor to it.
