A rover that can be air-dropped from any height to any location on the island, and, once on the ground, can drive anywhere, even up vertical cliffs. Use HIGH TERRAIN and HIGH PHYSICS if possible.

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Activate "1" to turn airplane engines on. Fly to desired drop area (low, flat areas like the Bowl or the bottom of the trench work best).

2. Make sure throttle is at 100%. Activate "2" to release rover and deploy drag fins. Deactivate "1" to prevent fuel waste from the plane.

3. Wait for rover to descend to the ground. Use throttle to control terminal velocity; make sure it is at 100% before impacting.

4. Rover impacts the ground. Depending on conditions, the nose assembly may or may not explode, but rover will work either way. Deactivate drag fins with "2".

5. Activate "3" to turn rover engine on. Leave throttle at 100% at all times. Use down pitch to apply forward thrust and up pitch to apply reverse thrust. Yaw steers. Drive conservatively.

6. Have fun!

@ABC123 I followed all the instructions carefully, but it worked fine when I started in the air.

@Gorobloso Friend, I believe that must have happened because you did not read and follow the directions in the description. If you do not follow them, it will not work.

@humangrenade 10 million feet is quite high! Do you perhaps mean 10,000? Either way, as long as it is falling nose downward with flaps out, it is supposed to slow down as it falls due to its low terminal velocity. I'm sorry that it didn't work!

@ABC123 I go up to 10,000,000 then drop

@humangrenade well thank you! But it really should not explode... Do you mean just the nose, or the whole thing? The whole thing should not explode unless the drag flaps aren't out, so I hope that is not what you mean... But thanks, glad you liked it anyway!

Love it! Floats to the ground just like a parachute would. Very creative.

I worked on this for quite a while, but I'm not totally happy with how it turned out. I like this concept a lot, but I can't make it much better or fancier without causing lots of lag on my old device. If someone with a better device wants to make a bigger/badder/cooler vehicle like this, I'd love to see it!
