TC2XB Engine Competition

8,395 GJW14  7.3 years ago

The TC2X is getting an upgrade... the B model! This version will have a huge list of improvements, including XML edits! However, there's one setback: the engines. I need custom engines from the community! The A model's engine is currently fitted to the simutation pylon, and it's not good enough.

Rules:
- The engine must maintain atleast a 0.5 unit margin from the ground on the rig.
- Engines shouldn't be producing more than 80,000 pounds or thrust or less than 60,000.
- XML modding IS allowed, just make sure it's realistic.
- There shouldn't be 1 mile long afterburners shooting out of the back of the engine. There - shouldn't be afterburners at all!
- The engine shouldn't weigh more than 5 tons.
- The engine needs to burn the same as or less fuel than the BFE300.
- Entries due by August 10th. You are allowed 3 entries only.
- All submissions must be a successor.

Once submitted, your engine will be put through various tests, including flight tests, performance in emergencies, testing against opponent's engines, and more.

Reward: Winner's engine will be featured on the next generation Taipan TC2X aircraft, with credit, of course. 2nd place and 3rd place will be expirimented with for future aircraft. Everyone will recieve an upvote.
