VTOL AI Project

this is a developement that come to my mind, a VTOL fighter that are really worthy for the SimplePlanes AI, actually it can hover and dogfight, but im trying to make it do VIFFing manuevers, that basically is a nozzle-down that increases turn rate and slows it down in an instant, allowing to turn at your enemy 6's
actually is a great challenge dogfight it because is very agile fighter and have increased health (500 in fuselage, 300 in wings, and 100 in weakpoints)
Actually have missiles inspired of the AIM-9M and AIM-120D, but with a downgrade in range (if you want the real numbers are 35000 for aim9 and 160000 for aim120)
The gunpods was a generic 30mm canons (Old version)
Actually have installed a gunpod inspired in the Gau-22A Equalizer, a 25mm light and effective Gatling gun made for the second gen harrier and the F-35. i had to reduce the firing rate to the half (real 55RPS) to maintain the effective range (3660m) this is caused for the new gun rendering limitations in the game
also i made some adjustements in the controls, now the gyro at roll has a little yaw to help the stupid AI to control it in hover, and the nozzles has a trim to make easier the use of the player

@ZeroWithSlashedO is a damn problem with resolutions, a 1366x768 monitor, playing sp at 640x480 with a screenshot mod that doesnt work properly XD
Love how the thumbnail isn't in your usual 16×9, but instead is in a 1x1.

@OrderlyHippo one thing, if you dont know the tracer bullets are 1 between 3, if you want to replicate a high fire-rate gun just divide the rps in 3
@VenusLancer Yeah..I know what you mean. I really only build on an F-35. I decided to keep the fire rate realistic and instead use the canon with explosive rounds (real F-35 sometimes uses explosive rounds). This way you can have high fire rate and see the impact, not so much the bullet travel, unfortunately. Also it stinks u can't canon with the "gun" button.
@OrderlyHippo im thinking to set both cockpits as weakpoins, is really satisfactory dissect this plane using slow motion
I forgot to mention that i changed the dual gunpods to a Gau-22A equalizer, the machinegun that uses the F-35, is light, reliable, powerful, very accurate and shots a lot of rounds per second (sadly i had to reduce the rate to maintain the range, caused for the render limitation of bullets, something that i hate of the SP update)
This is one of my favorite planes. I fly vtol often and the ai kamikaze carnage is unbearable.
