Metra EMD F40PH

105k RailfanEthan  8.5 years ago

EMD built the F40PH with 3,000hp for passenger service for big companies, like Metra and Amtrak. EMD later built the F40PH-2 which has 200 more horsepower. For Amtrak, the locomotives were replaced by the Gensis series locomotives, however you can still see these in work on smaller lines. Same controls as my other trains. Enjoy!

@ccooper I know of Metra because I got a DLC for Train Simulator. The only annoying thing about this train in real life is it has a automatic bell installed. ex: horn blast = instant bell ringing.
