The Boeing 747-8 is a four-engine widebody aircraft developed by Boeing. Officially announced in 2005, the 747-8 is the third generation of Boeing 747, with lengthened fuselage, redesigned wings and improved efficiency. The 747-8 is the largest version of Boeing 747, the largest commercial aircraft built in the United States, and the commercial aircraft longest in the world, along with the Airbus A340-600.
