Heinkel He-219 "Owl" (German Heinkel He-219 "Uhu") - twin-engine piston night fighter. The first specially designed aircraft of this type in Germany. The world's first combat aircraft equipped with ejection seats. The Heinkel night fighter began in 1940 as an initiative project P.1055, which involved the creation of a multipurpose aircraft capable of solving the tasks of a long-range heavy fighter, a high-speed reconnaissance aircraft and a torpedo bomber.
