Avro Vulcan B.3
Alpha 1.1
Re-upload, credit to @IdnManufacturer for inspiration on this build.
A "what if" type build depicting the Avro Vulcan if it had continued service with the RAF as an upgraded B3.
Built to be as accurate yet functional as possible, with a full virtual front and rear cockpit.
The airframe is fitted with functional control surfaces and undercarriage, complete with bays. A spacious bomb bay occupies the fuselage, currently without weapons - something which will come in a future version.
The front cockpit is cramped, complex and dark; mimicking that of the real aircraft. The rear cockpit is more functional than accurate, with an upgraded RADAR and weapons suite (credit goes to TBC*). On first loading, you will notice that the hatch and ladder are open and the centre pedestal is retracted, as you would find it ready for QRA. Push the Hatch button (Ag8) to prepare for flight.
The flight model is challenging and not particularly accurate, owing to the limitations of Simpleplanes, although you'll soon get familiar with the nuances.
I'm am very open to feedback, and please do share the model with others. I am releasing it at a time when the future of the (formerly) last airworthy Vulcan is uncertain, as it has been forced to leave its home base. I am in no way sponsored or affiliated, but please visit "vulcan to the sky" to find out more and show support.
Finally, I apologise for not owing at least some credit to IdnManufacturer; although I have scratch built this, I took inspiration from their model to overcome technical difficulties - so thank you.
