The F-14 Tomcat is a fighter/interceptor which has been used by the US Navy from 1974 to 2006, and has given an incredible performance throughout its career. Its armament can consist of four AIM-9 Sidewinder short range heat seeking missiles, as well as either AIM-7 Sparrow medium range radar guided missiles, or AIM-54 Phoenix long range radar guided missiles. The impressive air-to- air armament allows the Tomcat to engage and destroy aircraft and even cruise missiles at up to 97 miles. (Note: Wing Sweep=VTOL)
