The Myasischev M-44 is an all-weather interceptor aircraft designed in 1953 by Vladimir Mikhailovich Myasishchev as an attempt to compete with the U.S F-104 Starfighter, which is also an all-weather interceptor.

Designs started at 1954 right after the F-104 had its first flight. In November 2th 1959, Myasischev M-44 had entered the Russian Air Force. No found data about the first flight, probably on 1957

Just as a simple tip, "1 km" for missile range coding is "1000", so "3.5 km" is "3500"

Beautiful and scarily maneuverable despite being an interceptor. Weapons have extremely lackluster range though (the minimum and maximum ranges for the missiles are 1.1-to-3.5 meters not kilometres), but I can't blame you for this probable mistake due to missile range coding being confusing sometimes.
