X-2000 V1.2
Slightly harder to get speed shakes now. Has over 8,000 gals of fuel. Still doesn’t last very long but you can do top speed runs now without having to restart where you run out of fuel. Will do 24,000 mph (mach 31.3) can probably go even faster, while still being somewhat maneuverable (for an object traveling 31 times the speed of sound) no gyroscope or any of that fancy stuff as the objective was to create an atircraft as fast as a spacecraft that won’t just fall apart past 3500mph, and which weighs a relatively small amount. Engines are exactly the same, but the nozzles are moved (can be turned but shouldnt be). There are 4 modded fuel tanks and 1 regular as well as the entire fuselage being used as a fuel tank. This results in a flight time of about 15 minutes, instead of 30 seconds, which makes it plenty. But seriously still take off at 1% throttle or the landing gear will snap off and you will explode. Overall very fun, but don’t expect to be able to turn on a dime. It is meant to be the fastest and highest flying aircraft ever conceived. Thats it. Still maneuverable for what it is, way more than the X-2000 V1 and i think it looks very good too

Just posted the V2 and addressed many of the problems @atgxtg
@moellrich97
Not even close. 4 times around the world is only around 100,000 miles, so your airplane is getting less than 4 miles to the gallon. It's a gas guzzler.
I got a small aircraft, the size of a microcar, that get 80 mpg, that can fly around the world about 100 times on the same amount of fuel. It doesn't fly at Mach 260, though, so it would take three or four days to do it, and without a bathroom.
So theoretically, its the world’s most efficient aircraft because the fuel lasts like 15 mins, enough to go around the world pretty much 4 times on 29,000 gals @atgxtg
@moellrich97 So it could get you anywhere you wanted to go on the planet in under 4 minutes.
My newest version that i’m uploading tomorrow is able to go mach 260.66 without breaking @atgxtg
@moellrich97
Yeah, I know how controls get sketchy at high speed. I got a few hypersonic aircraft designs in the works, and one big problem is that I usually have to reduce the ailerons as much as possible to keep the planes from being over sensitive when rolling.
I've got an kinda warped X-wing configuration with big fuselage ridges (for extra vertical stabilization) that is fairly stable at high speeds, but there's a big difference between flying at Mach 5 and Mach 50!
Here is the mini fuel tank that I've been using: https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/3uDHGF/mini-fuel-tank15-695gal-14lbs
Please give an upvote for the guy who made it (it wasn't me),
Im addressing the wobble issue atm @moellrich97
You just kinda have to feather the throttle up to about 70,000 ft then you can just punch it but its a good idea to just keep going from 0% back to 1percent to keep it around 2000mph. Trust me i’ve gone like 25,000 mph at 120,000ft with no shakes. Just use the trim to pitch at that point. Any control surface at that speed is gonna be sketchy and for the most part except for the powertrain, i want to keep it unmodded @atgxtg
That would be awesome if you could @atgxtg
This one is harder to fly that the original. It goes into a slight bank to the right just after take off. Normally that wouldn't be big deal, but at 2000+mph it is hard to correct without overdoing it the other way.
Also it is more prone to the shakes at low altitude. Basically that a case of going to fast for it's own good at that air density. I can't get it to climb high enough fast enough before it starts vibrating.
I think the older version flies better.
Do you want a link to the 15,000 gallon lightweight mini fuel tank? You could sneak a half dozen or so in the fuselage (easy) and have over 100,000 gallons of fuel for something like 100 pounds of weight.
