fictionality ftw The Halebrand HVA-9A was a twin-engined medium bomber that also functioned as an attacker (comparable to an A-20 (yes i am mentioning a REAL PLANE!!!)). It came about in 1950 because there obviously weren’t enough medium bombers. It had elliptical wings and a payload of 5x 500 pound bombs. Similar to the Potešz, it was an ok fighter (without the 2500 pounds of hogh explosive on board) which meant it didn’t need an escort for the full flight. Fighters could escort it too the bombing zone, and engage in normal patrol duties whilst the bombers returned home. This edition is no17 from 255th BG, Ace of Spades. This aircraft claimed 8 kills through it’s war campaign, and dropped about 110,000 pounds of bombs
