Vixen Vulture
About the aircraft
The Vixen Vulture is a single-seat, propellor-driven fighter aircraft designed by Vixen to replace the RAF's aging biplanes. It competed with other British designs of the era, such as the Supermarine Spitfire and Hawker Hurricane. The Vulture saw combat in the Battle of Britain, the North-African campaign and in mainland Europe. It saw numerous modifications throughout its service life, ranging from armament changes to new wing designs.
Innovation in jet propulsion rendered the Vulture, as well as other propellor-driven aircraft obsolete. Development and production was stopped in 1947.
About the build
If I'm honest, I didn't expect to finish this build. I have a bad habit of not finishing builds. How long have I not posted?!
I wanted to make another WW2 fighter after quitting a previous one. I decided to not give this one a fancy functional cockpit, although I knew I had the skills to do so. Flexibility and part count were the deciding factors for me.
This is also the first time I am using EternalDarkness's wing technique. What a smart lad he is.
I'm particularly fond of the propellor, and tail. Just the whole fuselage I guess. I think I could make the wings a bit more curvy though. Like on a Spit. I'll definitely try to improve with my next build. Might be a bush plane, by the way. Wait, those don't have curvy wings. Oh, well.
The RAF roundels on the sides were painful, but they came out pretty nice. Luckily, otherwise I'd have to throw them in the trash.
Controls

- VTOL for flaps.
- AG8 to unlock the tailwheel. Lock into the natural position when retracting please.
