Northrop's Tacit Blue Stealth demonstrator first flew in 1982. With a crew of one, the single prototype logged 135 flight hours. The model demonstrator resides in the Wright-Patterson AFB museum. The demonstrator flew wheels-up, had very smooth low-observable contours, had a crew of one, and was powered by 2 Garrett high-bypass turbofans.

    @hypnotoad yes, that's very close to what Northrop did: all engine parts completely hidden.
