PzKpfw-VI Ausf.B Konigstiger(P)
The Panzerkampfwagen VI Ausf.B Tiger II, commonly known as the "King Tiger" or "Tiger II", was a heavy tank developed by Nazi Germany during World War II. Some sources refer to it simply as the Tiger B. It was a heavy tank developed by Nazi Germany during World War II. Its ordnance inventory number was Sd.Kfz. 182, and it was also known informally as the "Königstiger" (German for "Bengal Tiger"). The Königstiger was the successor to the Tiger I. It inherited the heavily armoured style of the Tiger I, with the sloping armour of the Leopard. The King Tiger weighed 70 metric tonnes, had 100 to 180 mm thick front armour, and was fitted with an 88 mm KwK 43 L/71 tank gun. The turretless Tiger Hunter tank destroyer shared the same chassis as the King Tiger.
