B-200B "ReTouch"

41.4k Graingy  11 months ago

The B-200B "ReTouch" is a modernized development of the B-200A "Finishing Touch" Medium Bomber.

It specializes in cruise missile delivery, while also supporting a reasonable bomb load within its upgraded, more versatile bomb bay.
The nose-mounted 50mm autocannon's mount has been reinforced, allowing it to fire continuously without structural fatigue.
The addition of flaps and slightly larger wings counteracts the massively increased weight from the enourmously increased fuel capacity.
Engines have been governed to 95% thrust to preserve component lifespan, improving its maintenance records respectably.

In all, the bomber is a capable system for carrying out strikes against land or sea targets anywhere they may be.

This aircraft is old.
I don't know exactly when it was completed, but the original B-200 "Finishing Touch" was probably made sometime around the F-116 "Crow" and B-230 "Super Cruiser", which are dated by the site as 3.9 and 4 years old respectively.

Work on an (upcoming) fighter lead me to use the B-200 as a prop for a screenshot, but the next day (today, 9/4/24) I decided to finally upload the B-200 as well. Of course, standards have changed, so I had to make a few adjustments to give it remotely a chance of holding up.

And here is it.

For your enjoyment, the B-200B "ReTouch".

    @TheUltimatePlaneLover I need a specific number. If you leave it to me, I'll default to the maximum to make more sales.

    @TheUltimatePlaneLover I... see?
    How many? These are simple enough to build. Standardized parts, no exceedingly complicated geometry.

    @Graingy Then I'll take it anyways lol
    (I'm really good at putting countermeasures on aircraft, I actually used an airframe from the 1930s in the S-War by slapping flare-n-chaff dispensers onto the wings lol)

    @TheUltimatePlaneLover I... can't remember if it does.
    I can't test the aircraft either...
    In any case, if it doesn't then they'd be easy to fit. This is an aircraft with a lot of internal space. It's part of the job description, easy to modify.

    @TheUltimatePlaneLover A reliable patrol aircraft capable of lugging missiles intro range of intruders.
    It'll run you about $25,000,000 each, but is good value for its easy-to-service nature.
    Best operated in low-threat airspace, however. It's not the most advanced aircraft...

    Hey, I just realized I am out of spotlights. Could you tag me first thing tomorrow, and I promise I will spotlight it? Thanks. I am going to bed now. We will see what happens tomorrow.

    @Graingy I was more talking about the first one's runway(or whatever you call it), the third one is actually good

    @Monarchii I think I see what you’re getting at, at least with the third thumbnail. I tried to make the green look more lush, though maybe missed the mark. I was trying the same with that recent newspaper thing of mine. With the B-88s.
    Thanks for the input.
    Would you say the purple bombs were out of place? The actual image I ended up getting didn’t turn out as I wished, but accidentally managed to make it into… that.
    I don’t know if it’s really consistent with the vibe of the others, though. Well, it isn’t, but the question is if it’s bad.

    @Monarchii Since you're the one who originally told me to edit photos, how'd you say I did?
    Done entirely with Preview on Mac.
