Versatile. Good weapon configurations. And great agility. STR-29 [312] Fighter aircraft have it all. A great Soviet weapon of 1964.

Backstory

In 1964, The Soviet Union needed a new fighter aircraft. Though the Mig-15 was wreaking havoc upon United States forces, Spies have found out the Americans were making a new fighter bomber, the F-4 Phantom, which would be deadly and capable of destroying Migs in minutes. While Tupolev, Mikoyan Guverich? and many other companies were trying to make a good aircraft, another company rose up. A tractor company:
The Soviet Tractor Reign. A company started by a guy who played too much Russian Roulette and somehow lived. No one knows how, but insane people think he is a reincarnation of... Rasputin? They attempted to make a plane. They failed. They tried to make a car. They failed. They tried to make a motorized shopping cart with a 250mm smooth bore auto loading cannon.

They Failed

They failed at just about a n y t h i n g But, one man, Ivan Zestrotskisav, changed that. He didnt create shopping carts with guns. He didnt make cars. He made a dangerous aircraft capable of even attacking modern day B-2 bombers. After the aircraft was finally approved in 1968, and first seen by American pilots, win rates were higher than what the A6M Zero would have wet dreams of (totally not a Bosnian Ape Society reference) 90|1. In favor of the Russian aircraft. Though it didnt have many countermeasures, its agility would make up for it.
There was one incident though, when the 61th Fighter Group mistakenly thought Major Trotsky Sestonava was an American aircraft. And shot it down. Trotsky's plane has sustained critical damage and was returning to base. His radio was knocked out and had no communications whatsoever. He has lost part of his wing and was unable to turn, and all his countermeasures were used. He died 2 days after due to his injuries. Anyway you aces, jump in, fly high, and put your enemies in the ground.
