The Keniss-Cosworth T8 was introduced in 1970 to replace the T7, which had become outdated over the course of the winter. The car proved to be equally as fast as its predecessor. Over the course of the 13 race season, the T8 won 9 of those races. 7 of these wins came from defending champion Alex Clark, with a further 2 coming from Vincent Almore. Alex Clark and Vincent Almore tied one another for Podiums and Poles, with 11 and 4 each. The car was used with minor changes through to 1973, in which it took Alex Clark to the 1970, 1971, and 1973 drivers titles. However, in 1972, Keniss and Cosworth severed ties due to Cosworth pushing Keniss to use the DFV, in order to save money. Keniss began using Ferrari engines in 1973.
