Westland Scout AH.1
First flown in 1960, the Westland Scout served the British Army in a reconnaissance capacity for many years. Loved and loathed by its pilots in equal measure, it represented a key phase of modernisation for the British Armed forces, who quickly grew fond of rotary wing aviation as it became more technologically advanced and strategically capable. As well as reconnaissance, the Scout could be equipped for Anti-Tank operations, troop carrying and other logistical operations (sling loading being an example). After an illustrious career, the Scouts were finally phased out in the mid-90s in favour of more advanced and capable machines such as the Westland Lynx, and later WAH-64 Apache for the attack role. Many have found new homes in the civilian aviation sector, some even as far away as New Zealand where they are still used today for a wide variety of tasks. In terms of controlling this thing, just take it easy and you should be alright. It's quite sluggish in many ways, so rolling too far at low altitude may be disastrous. It's also fairly difficult to land, as it has to come into a hover first before landing vertically. Have fun! :D

You should make the gyroscope versión of it but this helicopter? Maybe is hard because of the stability and speed
@TheChosenZebra I found a modded propellor part (XML/Root game file modding) somewhere on this website and have used the same part for all my helicopters since :P I forget who uploaded it in the first place but I owe them a lot!
how do you make such large rotor blades?
Awesome.
hi i havent seen this heli but some thing looking familier?
@Sharkie I'm from the UK, so sadly they're just as rare here
Coz they're ultra rare here
Where u from?
@Sharkie thanks for the upvote :D Glad to hear these are still going strong where you are! I'm just happy that these didn't end up on the scrap heap as so many similarly interesting aircraft did, and I think the Scout deserves much more admiration than it's been given over the years
I mean I'm from NZ
Plus it m from New Zealand 🇳🇿
I've seen one of these at an air show
