China Airlines Flight 140
is a flight of China Airlines from Taoyuan Chiang Kai-shek International Airport (now Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport to Nagoya Airport. On April 26, 1994, Airbus A300B4-622R aircraft numbered B-1816 performed this flight , carrying 271 passengers and crew members, including the pilot Wang Leqi and the co-pilot Zhuang Mengrong, unfortunately crashed when landing at Nagoya Airport, killing 264 people (153 Japanese passengers), and only 7 survived. This accident is also known as China Airlines The Nagoya Air Disaster is the most serious air disaster in Taiwan's aviation history. In Japan, China Airlines Flight 140 is second only to Japan Airlines Flight 123 in 1985.
