A simple APC with make shift bar armour on the sides, it is based off the M-2 APC, the standard APC of the Ethanian army, along with the BTR-152 in reserve units. The M-2 is heavily based off the South African Ratel APC, most obviously in its 3 wheel design. The M-2 has a crew of 2, the driver and the gunner/ commander who sits in the turret, and can hold 10 fully loaded infintry men.the vehicle is powered by a 160 horsepower V-8 engine, and can go up to 48 miles per hour on a paved road. The vehicle is not amphibious though it can go through shallow water up to 6.5 feet high. The standard armorment is a single M1919 machinegun in a fully traversable turret, but the newer ones 2001- onwards, where armed with a M1A2 machine gun, which is the same caliber as the M1919. In addition to the machine gun, the first 200 made were equipped with 2 rifle ports on each side of the vehicle, but they were hard to aim and largely ineffective. However most of the M-2 APC’s have 2 banks of 4 smoke grenade launchers. The front Armour is strong enough to withstand 25mm Armour piercing rounds, the side 20mm and the back 12.7mm rounds. The turret is covered by a spare tire, all of the tires can withstand normal rifle caliber fire, but nothing bigger, the tires are also a run flat design, and can drive up to 32 miles after being puncterd. The M-2 however is, even with smoke discharges, very vulnerable to anti tank weponry, with that in mind many crews have made DIY Armour packages to put at the front, sides, rear, and even the top of the APC. Despite a lacking armourment, and a fairly big size, the M-2 is liked by its crews for being fast, nimble, and easy to operate and maintane, which explains why over 13,000 have been produced, and will still be produced for the foreseeable future.
