The SAI Quiet Supersonic Transport (QSST) was a project by Supersonic Aerospace International (SAI) to develop a "virtually boomless" commercial supersonic business jet. (Wikipedia)
The real life version has a proposed first flight in 2018, cruising at speeds of mach 1.6 to 1.8 at 60,000 ft. It is currently under development by Lockheed Martin Skunk Works. The idea is a supersonic business jet that produces much less sound than other supersonic aircraft.
