SCN/NNF Roon (DDH-011)
Roon is a Heavy Destroyer class ship and the leader ship in its class which will be built in 2020-2045.
Roon was the first Destroyer ship built after the October 7 Tragedy.
History
By 2021 the Neo and Shadow Naval Fleets are mostly filled with retrofitted older ships, hence the R-Class Project was finally implemented and started construction in early 2020.
The first construction started with 4 ships, Roon and Admiral Hipper completed in 2025, Admiral Hipper was renamed Amagi on March 5, 2025.
The name Amagi comes from the cruiser Amagi which sank in Mizukyoto Harbor, due to the Great Mizukyoto Earthquake on August 5, 2020.
While Hutten and Friedrich der Große were completed in 2026, Friedrich der Große was renamed Mikasa, after the battleship Mikasa which sank in the Battle of Hanako Bay on April 19, 1947.
The four of them were transferred to the 1st Combined Fleet at Shizukishima.
Roon and Amagi were assigned to the 1st Naval Squadron with the carriers Akagi and Kaga.
