Reggiane Re.2005 Sagittario
2,113 Turdy1
8.2 years ago
The Sagittario would be the final design produced by Reggiane during the Second World War. Only 48 were completed before the surrender of Italy, and they only equiped a few squadrons. After the surrender, the few that weren't destroyed by their crews were siezed by German forces. Exactly what became of those aircraft is unknown. They either acted as trainers for Northern Italian forces, fought over Romania, or saw their last actions over a destroyed Berlin.

@90corvette It's got beautiful lines, but what I've always loved about its shape is how cramped it ended up making the aircraft. There's just enough room in the fuselage for an engine, three guns, the cockpit, pilot, and radio. In that order.
Nice work, I love the look of the Re.2005
