In 1998, the USAF wanted to replace its aging C5 Galaxies, so they started a competition, and the winner was McDonnell Douglas, with a design that would become the C-42 Atlas, named after the Greek Titan due to its incredible weightlifting capabilities of over 300 tons, and it is commonly joked about because of its big forehead.
