FX-33 Fornax (Variable Geometry Stealth Fighter)

4,081 CMS1288  8.3 years ago
Auto Credit Based on CMS1288's FX-33 Prototype II

The FX-33 is the latest air superiority fighter, incorporating variable geometry wings for unparalleled flexibility and control. Thrust vectoring, variable geometry, and optimized control surfaces render this fighter deadly at long and close range. Stealth design and two interceptor missiles can sneak on targets. Two short range air to air and two air to ground missiles allow the FX-33 to provide close range effectiveness in the air and on the ground.

VTOL 1 UP- Variable geometry. Before takeoff, move to takeoff/landing mode for stability. This mode is not capable of strong wing loading and should be switched back to attack mode (VTOL 1 MIDDLE) at 350 mph or more.
VTOL 1 DOWN 3/4 enters low drag mode for cruising.
VTOL 2 DOWN- Open weapons bay. Holds two interceptor, guardian, and inferno missiles.
AG 3- Landing lights.

@CMS1288 I know this is kind of old, but can I use it?

Thanks for the upvotes everyone! I encountered a problem with the Guardian missiles in this revision- the modded fuselage part behind the weapons bay doors in an attempt to close the gap is too long, which hits the missile when launching and blowing the craft. Simply shorten the length or remove them and all is good.
