The F-15 Eagle fighter is an all-weather and highly maneuverable tactical fighter. It is designed to obtain and maintain air superiority and is one of the main fighters in active service of the US Air Force. The F-15 was developed by the F-X(Fighter-Experimental) program launched in 1962, won by McDonnell Douglas Company in 1969, first tested in July 1972, and delivered to the US Air Force in 1974.
