To take off in the conventional manor, pull the slider all the way down, throttle up and take off as normal. To take off vtol, 100% throttle. The plane will roll back at first. Once off the ground, allow plane to pitch forward 30 degrees, then pull the slider to the 2nd notch below center. When you reach a speed of 90mph, pull the slider to the bottom notch.
