Comac C919 is a narrow-body airliner developed by Chinese aircraft manufacturer Comac. The development project was launched in 2008. Production began in December 2011 and the first prototype rolled off on November 2, 2015; the first flight took place on May 5, 2017. On September 29, 2022, C919 obtained the model certificate of CAAC. The first production airframe was delivered to China Eastern Airlines on December 9, 2022 and entered commercial passenger service on May 28, 2023.
