The Hanker T-4 Instructor is a modified T-1 Greenhand designed to be a twin engined advanced/combat training aircraft. The Instructor used two 1000hp Rolls Royce engines each driving a three bladed propellor. The propellors are contra-rotating to counteract the torque made by the engines. Fuel has been increased, giving the T-4 a much larger range compared to its original T-1. Armament is two .50 caliber M2 browning MG’s mounted on the inboard wings. Four hardpoints can carry underwing stores, limited to training bombs or torpedoes.
