The Boulton Paul “Defiant” was a British bomber killer, designed in the late thirties. Its main and only weapon system was notable as it comprised of four machine guns in a turret. The turret could also not turn forward, restricting attacks from below or in front of the target. It is believed to be one of the worst vehicles of the war, although its combat efficiency was average.
