Newland 1966 Townsman

This All-American classic from the Sixties was made by Newlands own car division. The Townsman was popular because of its luxurious look and reasonable price. Fuel consumption was a bit of a turnoff though. The Townsman wasn't that efficient, to great fortune of the American oil lobby. In 1966 alone, the number of gas stations doubled. Few people know that the Townsman was the cause of the 1972 (oil) crisis. But that's just a small setback if you buy this American Freedom Machine, because there's nothing like hittin' the road in a Townsman!
