XB-29 Tiltwing Superfortress II (Revamped)
The XB-29!
Based on a LEGO version of the B-29 I made…
That would be this.
Lore Time
During the infamous Monarchii War, TheUltimatePlaneLover (who goes by the short name/acronym TUPL) managed to liberate several B-29 bombers, mainly from SimpleRussia, but one from Snowstone, one allegedly from Krakabloa, and one from the ocean apparently. Along with getting repairs, the B-29s were upgraded to stay relevant should they see modern combat. This B-29, the XB-29 Tiltwing Superfortress, was a unique experiment to see if it was possible to make a heavy/strategic bomber do VTOL. Did it work? Kind of, but in unexpected ways.
Description
The XB-29 Tiltwing Superfortress was an experimental aircraft and heavy bomber. It was best known for its unique VTOL style which saw not just the rotation of the engines like the V-22 Osprey, the XB-29 sees the rotation of the entire wing, hence its name. Although this feature is primarily designed for VTOL, a skilled pilot in the right circumstances can utilize it for strafing, short-term hovering, and even supermaneuverability.
Controls/Instructions
Activation Group #1: Turns on the gyroscope (it's basically useless)
Activation Group #2: Toggles turret controls (VTOL to rotate, Trim to elevate/depress depending on the Trim angle)
Activation Group #8: Activates the infamous Tiltwing of the XB-29, VTOL to raise or lower.
Notes:
-The VTOL and Tiltwing are connected in exact manner, so pushing VTOL up will also make the Tiltwing go up
-Being that AG2 and AG8 share the VTOL control, it is a wise idea to refrain from using both at once
-This aircraft can carry 48 bombs, make sure you're not too low when dropping them
Good luck and have fun!
Go liberate that oil! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🦅🦅🦅

@Dracul0Anderson True, the XB-29 can literally do a cobra maneuver with skill lol
Even my A-40B can't do a proper cobra
@TheUltimatePlaneLover
Look on the bright side, it's still more maneuverable then an aerial warship. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
@Dracul0Anderson It can get airborne, and it can land just fine, the issue is trying to overmaneuver at low altitudes with the Tiltwing, as long as you play it smart or safe, that's really the case with any aircraft, in fact this plane is quite fine as long as you don't use the Tiltwing function itself too much. Plus, the F-15 has about a 30% crash rate, and yet it has a combat record of over-100-to-0, and there's barely anything that can be done about that. Without the Tiltwing Function, the XB-29 probably has a crash rate of about 1-4% if you're a good pilot, and even less if we're referring to fatal crashes.
@TheUltimatePlaneLover
An aircraft with that bad a flight record should be scrapped. If its a coin flip whether or not it will actually get airborne, do you really think it's a good weapon?
@Dracul0Anderson nope
This thing is entirely legal
If anything he should probably call an ambulance considering that the Tiltwing has a 45% crash rate (I'm terrible at flying her)
I mean this is basically just the Osprey but even more volatile
@WisconsinStatePolice
Don't you mean:
@Majakalona ik lol
The Lego version looks like skittles
@Christiant2 You don't have one either lol
@TheUltimatePlaneLover You're getting a fine
@TheUltimatePlaneLover hmmm pilots license and registration.
