Auto Credit Based on Quec's S13C 'Fighting Puma'
Description
the Jaguar Arms Corp. S13C SHORAD is the Short Range Air Defence variant of the S13C, itself being an upgraded and updated version of the previous S13B AMV and S13A AMV (previously known under Jaguar Arms designation as J.013B and J.013A respectively). The S13C serves in multiple militaries, primarily that of the Federation of Sosevea and the Republic of Vikendi. In Sosevean Defence Force service, the S13C SHORAD is the newest Short Range Air Defence unit in the arsenal. The S13C sees service in the army, providing air defence for multiple units, and also sees service in the Air Artillery Regiments.
History
In early 2020, the Sosevean Defence Force Board of Equipment saw a decreasing performance in the S13A. Despite its relatively new introduction into Sosevean military service, the S13A and S13B were found to begin to lack potency with the rising potential for a near peer conflict. Though the S13A and S13B served well in Afghanistan and would until the Sosevean withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan in mid 2020, the shifting strategic focus of the SDF required that Sosevean Army vehicles be upgraded.
In this shift, the board decided that it was about time that the third variant, the S13C be introduced. Due to the recency of the S13B however, funding was scarce for the project. It would only be in mid 2022 that the first prototype of the S13C was produced and presented, after rising pressure geopolitically gave renewed need to the project. By early 2023, the S13C hit the production line. The new hull, combined with the concurrent advent of a new SHORAD turret system abroad by allied nation Vikendi peaked interest of the board in combining the two. Thus, the S13C SHORAD prototype was made. Compared to putting the turret on old hulls, the S13C hull was able to maintain agreeable mobility with the mounting of said turret. This didn't please the bureaucracy, who sought to not spend more than necessary. Nevertheless, the S13C SHORAD was finally made and released in mid 2024.

About the book bin (feel free to skip, this is lore yap)
I like to use builds not only as a way of getting cool looking builds out, but to tell stories within them also. The story I want to tell with the book bin is that of Sosevea - specifically, Sosevea being a (fictional of course) bilingual nation. The keen-eyed among you who follow me may have already noticed the presence of small elements of French language on my previous build, the ARV.
The history of Sosevea in many ways, parallels that of Canada. In this alternate timeline, it is on the Australian continent that a much more contested colonisation takes place - and earlier too. French settlers were the first to arrive to Australia, naming their territory Lointerre. Before the British arrived in serious numbers nearly two decades later in the east of the country, French settlers lived in a setting of relative peace and prosperity. Good relations with the native indigenous people, though somewhat tenuous the majority of the time, were able to be maintained.
Nowadays, skipping through centuries of conflicts, culture clashing, failed revolts and more, Sosevea hopes to truly unite itself- a hope that was started, and was stoked by the horror of the trenches in WWI. Throughout the 20th Century, efforts to unite the two sides of the country, though long and hard, have proven to be successful. English and French speaking populations are rising in Lointerre (Western half of Australia - Where sussy is based) and in the Midlands & Emerald Coast respectively. Slowly, heading into the 21st Century, Sosevea is turning out to become a rather bilingual nation. Where this is reflected in the military. Though the language barrier does pose a significant obstacle - often a deadly one in military context, the SDF hopes to raise new generations, who have already come from schooling in both languages, to fight side by side. Francophone and Anglophone.
Yeah TLDR I learnt French and I want to use it in my builds. It's not truly about telling a story, it's about doing whatever I want :). The lore is so it makes sense.

@F8boa do you ever shut up, if you want camera aim so bad, add it your damn self
@F8boa That's a lot of words for a bronze user, your mother must be so proud
The flag of your fictional country (Sosevea?) kinda reminds me of a flipped version of the Dutch flag with orange and dark blue
@Quec I also would like to mention that criticism is far from weird
@Quec oh and the rest of the functions are absolutely fine, just the aiming system.
And don’t get me wrong, it’s an absolutely spectacular build, same with its base model, I just wish there was a better design for aiming as this is a quick and old, somewhat clunky system that is far less user friendly than it could be. No offense or anything, it’s fine how it isI guess, just slightly disappointing that we have such an in depth vehicle both in lore but also physical details that has such a sub par functionality for the turret vertical and horizontal movement.
@Quec you make a good pint but let me as you this, how come you don’t like camera aim?
@F8boa I don't like camera aim. Also why is it that the only interaction with my builds you have is just complaining about the VTOL and trim aim, it's weird
No shot bro made another variant (especially an spaa) and still made the aiming system trim and vtol
