Welcome to the first SPCS challenge ever! This is open to the public.
SPCS is a server that allows SP players to communicate and work together on projects. This challenge is the first of many that SPCS hopes to host. There are only 30 slots – finish your plane quickly or send a pic of your unfinished plane (if it's good enough, we’ll reserve you a slot). You entry must be a successor.

Objective/Rules

The object of the challenge is for you, the player, to build a naval aircraft - either fictional or replica - that would plausibly exist in the Cold War – be it a torpedo bomber, dive bomber, strike aircraft, carrier-borne helicopter, or even a carrier capable transport. There are many options to choose from. Your submission cannot have more than 1000 parts and less than 200 parts.

Testing

Your build will be tested for the role it is built for, however, it is vital that the craft is capable of landing and taking off from a carrier.

Judging

There are multiple categories of judging…
15 points for the quality of the build at first glance
10 points for realistic performance in the roles you give your build
10 for overall performance in nonspecific roles like landing
10 points for effort
10 points for realistic dimensions expected of the type of design
10 points for accurate details, everything from fins, markings, cockpits
10 points for usability and ease of control
5 points for special features
5 points for durability
5 points for ease of upgrading weapons systems, fuel tanks, the like
Total: 100 points

Try to make every aspect of your plane realistic. XML is expected and probably necessary to win. Weapons realism, shape realism, speed realism, fuel realism (no unlimited), and flight performance are expected (ignore those at risk to your points). Note also that the deceleration for the catch cable should be realistic.

Rewards

If possible:
1st = 25 upvotes
2nd = 20 upvotes
3rd = 15 upvotes
4th = 10 upvotes
5th = 5 upvotes
Any below get 1 consolation upvote. If you are part of the SPCS server, you will be notified on a smaller server only challenge and you will get an extra 2 upvotes for entering + the points you receive in the challenge. Players who are not part of SPCS will not receive these bonuses. So click the
