Here's the Chaser 2000 from the Raiden Fighters series.
The Chaser was conceived as a high speed, high altitude interceptor. It was very successful in that role, but the high cost of production and maintenance restricted its effectiveness. The counter this, the aircraft was completely redesigned using new techniques, as the "2000" variant. As a result, the redesign retained the performance of the original but without the high cost.
Flies exactly like how it is depicted in the original game. And by that, I mean it's very fast, and it's quite maneuverable. It's performance is comparable to late WWII fighters.
