333 sqn DH Mosquito FB VI, RF 831 (G-KK, 1945)
After taking a break from simpleplanes, I came back recently and decided that I could make my mosquito model look and perform better. In this model, I used more fuselage slicing to create a MUCH better looking paint job, while also tweaking the wings to make them smoother. I made the landing gear retract at different speeds, and tweaked the engines to give it more speed. Then I got a bit carried away; I reasearched an actual MK VI mosquito and painted my model to look like it. As far as I can tell, this mosquito, RF 831, was delivered to 333 (Norway) squadron in May 1945 and used against shipping. I put on a semi-realistic loadout of 2x 500lb bombs and 8x "rp3" rockets. 333 (Norway) squadron was the first squadron to get MK VI mosquitoes, in 1943. Other than that, this mosquito is nearly the same as my others so far. Have Fun!
