Not my best model, as far as representing the real thing goes. But I built this to test a design feature mostly.

The F-8 had variable pitch wings, which is how it solved the problem of lift for deploying from aircraft carriers. I wanted to see how that feature translated into Simpleplanes' physics, so I built this. It takes off very easily and as long as you don't yank the pitch control around it's pretty stable in flight. Landing is almost impossible, however. If anyone wants to attem mpt to solve this problem, be my guest, but if you touch down at more than, say, 100mph, the gear struts wig out and the plane crashes.
