I remember this!
Someone worked out that it could be used on nose cones to make canopies!
It'd show only the inside, thus far side, of the part.
Then someone tried to make an invisible P-51 and it did not work out.
Went all pointy and stuff like an over-abused 3D model.
Which it probably was.
Always assumed it only worked on nose cones...
This does not look as I remember it.
