Space Launch System Block 1 v-1.0

13.7k OrionAstronaut  8.5 years ago

The SLS (Space Launch system) is a shuttle derived rocket designed to carry the Orion MPVC (Multi Purpose Vehicle) to deep space. As a replacement for the now gone STS program and the cancelled constellation program, the SLS family of vehicles will take astronauts to the Moon, Asteroids, and Mars, allowing private companies to take over the job of maintaining the station with the help of Russia. The first test flight of the SLS is in september 2018, were it will launch an unmanned Orion capsule to the moon and deep space, deploying several cubesat sattelites along the way. IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS----> Once the rocket loads up, you can do 2 things, drive to desired launch area or launch from there, to drive press 8 and then 7 and slide the vtol slider a tad down ( IT HAS TO GO VERY SLOW). To stop, press B gently and press 7 again to stop the engines. To launch, activate 8 and slide the vtol slider down, this will retract all umbilical arms and the crew access arm. Then activate slow motion with L and start throttling up. AS SOON AS YOU START THROTTLING UP, PRESS 1, AND THEN REMOVE SLOW MOTION UNTIL THE TIP OF THE ROCKET, THE LAUNCH ESCAPE SYSTEM, STARTS TWITCHING, AT THIS MOMENT, PRESS L AGAIN UNTIL YOU REACH 7000MPH. After that you have to press 2 as soon you start loosing speed, which is at around 9600 mph, at that point you can decouple the LES by pressing 4 and then you can decouple the Orion with 3. Once you start falling down, activate 5 to decouple the capsule, and once in the vicinity of the water, you can press B to activate the @`parachutes@'. MAKE SURE TO LAND ON WATER. THE TRUTH IS OUT THERE. PS: this is my profile picture

@oDDDynamics Fun fact: I actually don't have simple rockets (sorry :-( ). I am more of a Kerbal Space Program fan (ever since 0.18.3).
