Giggling Guppy (Prototype)
Similar to the Coast Guard variant, but much more deadly.
Description:
A seaplane with a single engine, designed for recon and short range interception missions.
Grouping:
1 - NAV Lights
2 - Landing Lights
3 - Anti-collision Lights
6 - Drop Tanks
7 - Emergency/Landing Parachute
8 - Arresting Hook
Armament:
1x Minigun (Coastal Defense)
2x Guardian SSAAMs
Fictional Backstory:
The U.S. Navy was in need of a light reconnaissance and strike aircraft, capable of landing on water. This design was made, hoping to be small enough to detect and store effectively. Although, it did not live up to the qualifications of the Navy, due to it carrying less missiles and being slower than the design required, so it was disqualified for service. The company behind the design decided to instead retrofit the aircraft for civilian and Coast Guard uses.
Notes of the Aircraft:
Much like the Coast Guard variant, it is fairly hard to take off from water, especially when loaded down with the fuel tanks. The tip is to basically skim the top of the water and then have it take off. Although, takeoff from water is not recommended when loaded with missiles, as it will ruin the propellant for them, causing them to be useless.
